This is a Deck
Built out of Composite Material !
.JPG)
Lots of backing to secure
the boards at the edges of the bends. Yes you can bend some composites. It
requires a lot of planning to make sure you have support for your design,
but well worth the effects you can produce. This deck is about 5 years old
and has hardly changed in color or look.
Large Veranda Style Deck Around An Country Style Home!

It is built out of Cedar and redwood
together. Both great woods for this purpose and pest resistant. It does
need to be cleaned and sealed every 5 years or so, but will last a long
time.
The 2 x 2's over the Top are also Composite

This trellis is made from 3 x 6 Rough fir
material and beams. Metal brackets keep it all together. the 2 x 2's on
top shade from the sun are spaced 2 inches apart. 4 x 4 posts holding up
the structure and those are bracketed to the concrete below. It's a nice
place to relax, no matter what time of day! |
A few people
can lift this deck and move it where they want it!
This deck built out of redwood 2 x 6 is secured with metal "L" clips which
may be unfastened and be moved for a party platform or an intimate dinner
for two.
The upper picture is a
deck covered with composite decking material.

It has standard redwood railings and wood
structural members. Decking material is screwed down to the wood with 3
inch composite decking screws. They are used with a head on the screw that
does not mushroom material out the hole when driven in.
The deck below
was built from two colors of composite material!

This is great for contrast as well as
safety. The darker color is on all edges and step up and step down areas.
