Kitchen door changeout

Always worth while

A fun home repair project and a great savings in costs for these old cabinets dating back to the 1960's. We took off all the cabinet doors and drawer fronts. Ordered new ones from the Depot which came finished in natural, maple with hide away hinges & finished end panels. We installed them on the old cabinet frames after sanding them down to the raw wood and putting 3 coats of "Diamond Water clear" on them. The original cabinets were Birch so they were just a little darker than the Maple. They really look sharp for about 1/3 the price of new Cabinets. Added new stainless steel pulls to dress it up from cool knobs and pulls. com.

THE WAY COOL BATH  OF YESTERYEAR!

Going back in time with an eye on the future

This is a 1940s home bathroom design that had a bathroom remodel sometime in the 1960s. With a  pink tub and sink and the toilet was also pink to match.

The existing dry walled surfaces were wavy and had been painted many times in the past. The bathroom also had some dry rot near the bathtub which was removed as were all the bathroom fixtures.

The bathroom mirror  tilts to get a perfect reflection while standing in front of it and glass shelf gave it a clean look. We also installed a new Claw foot Bathtub, toilet & Free standing Pedestal Sink. The floor was retiled with the Traditional Chicken wire pattern and grey grout. Wainscot bead board was added to the walls at 36" in height with chair rail at the top to give it a nice finished look. Baseboard at the bottom 3-1/2" to stay with the old look.

These are just some of the INVENTIVE home repair solutions that were created to help customers solve some home repair problems and to dress up their homes as well.
